The Jaman South Municipal Assembly has donated 800 dual desks to the Education Directorate at Drobo in the Bono region.
The donation forms part of the Assembly's efforts to deal with desks deficit in basic schools in the municipality.
Presenting the desks to the Education Directorate, the Municipal Chief Executive, the honorable Andrews Bediako, revealed that the donation shows the Assembly's seriousness to deal with desk deficit in basic schools. "We have desks deficit in most of our basic schools in the municipality and so this donation is the several step by the Assembly towards dealing with the deficit so that our pupils will get seats to sit on".
He assured that the assembly will continue to support the Directorate to ensure effective teaching and learning in the municipality. "This donation will not be the last because we will continue to support in every regard to ensure that education in the municipality is improved upon for our children to have the best of education for a brighter future".
