Founder of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Reverend Christian Andrews Movement (GUM) known politically as Osofo Kyiri Abosom has blamed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Former Trade and Industry Minister, John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten for the increase in the price of sugar in the country.

During an interview on Okay FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com he noted that after the Komenda Sugar Factory was handed to a strategic investor, the factory failed to function properly. "The price of sugar has increased.

Ever since Alan Kyeremanten was handed power to fix the sugar factory, he came to collapse it instead.

He convinced Akufo-Addo to hand over Komenda Sugar Factory to strategic investors.
