Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has alluded that the attempt by the presidential candidate of the People's National Convention to seek legal redress following his disqualification by the Electoral Commission is a futile venture. , who could not make the final cut of 13 presidential candidates approved by the Electoral Commission for the December 7 general elections, has instituted legal action describing his disqualification as unlawful.

However, reacting to the news, Allotey Jacobs suggested that Mornah's fate as far as the election is concerned is already sealed. "What is written is written; what is written is that you will never be part of this election," he stated during a panel discussion on Peace FM's Kokrokoo morning show on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Despite his statement, Allotey Jacobs expressed interest in escorting Mornah to court in his quest to seek justice. "I wish to see him so I can escort him to court," he stated.

According to Mornah, his disqualification is a breach of his rights, illegal, and failed to comply with due process requirements imposed by law.
