The vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof.

Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, says the next NDC government would promote responsible mining and ensure compliance by small-scale miners.  Addressing NDC supporters at Nkakaa in the Amenfi Central Constituency on Wednesday as  part of the second phase of her three-day campaign tour of the Western Region, Prof.  Opoku-Agyemang said responsible mining is the way to go.  She said the next NDC administration would promote responsible mining by training small-scale miners on how to mine without destroying the country's riverbodies and forests.   Prof.

Opoku-Agyemang said mining has come to stay and it is important that those who want  to venture into it are properly trained to mine responsibly.  "We know the youth of this country are in need of jobs and that is why the next NDC  administration is promising a 24-Hour Economy to create jobs for all", she said.  Prof Opoku-Agyemang also highlighted the NDC's Women's Development Bank and the Big  Push as some of the policies that the next NDC government would implement to empower  women financially and create jobs for Ghanaians.  She therefore urged the electorates to rally behind the NDC and vote for the party's  presidential candidiate, Mr John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming December 7 general  elections.

She noted that a vote for Mr Mahama is a vote to stop corruption, poverty and  hunger, and an opportunity to reset the country.  .u32e95ef30b5a54d85364de6b24fe6e7d { padding:0px; margin: 0; padding-top:1em!important; padding-bottom:1em!important; width:100%; display: block; font-weight:bold; background-color:#E74C3C; border:0!important; border-left:4px solid #C0392B!important; text-decoration:none; } .u32e95ef30b5a54d85364de6b24fe6e7d:active, .u32e95ef30b5a54d85364de6b24fe6e7d:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; text-decoration:none; } .u32e95ef30b5a54d85364de6b24fe6e7d { transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; } .u32e95ef30b5a54d85364de6b24fe6e7d .ctaText { font-weight:bold; color:#F1C40F; text-decoration:none; font-size: 16px; } .u32e95ef30b5a54d85364de6b24fe6e7d .postTitle { color:#FFFFFF; text-decoration: underline!important; font-size: 16px; } .u32e95ef30b5a54d85364de6b24fe6e7d:hover .postTitle { text-decoration: underline!important; } READ ALSO:  Radio Gold, XYZ fined GH¢65 Million for defaulting in license renewal paymentFor his part, the chief of Nkakaa, Nana Kofi Mensah, endorsed the candidature of Mr Mahama.   He prayed for victory for the NDC in the upcoming elections and looked forward to the party  providing the area with a decent roads a hospital, teacher training college and improving  mobile telephony service in the town.  Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Related Topics:FeatureGhana news Advertisement You may like Two arrested Democracy Hub demonstrators fall sick; taken to Police Hospital NPP using arrest of demonstrators to divert attention from galamsey fight  - Solomon Owusu Demos in Ghana shouldn't be a clash between citizens and  the police - Security Analyst Plastic waste in floodwaters at Darkuman is a shame for our Capital - A Ghanaian's Frustration Opinion Polls, public sentiments are in our Favor - Sammy Gyamfi Confident in NDC's Chances Choose permanent jobs over unpaid allowances- Armah-Kofi Buah to Trainee Nurses ECG MD Samuel Dubik resigns - Reports NDC will break corruption, unemployment and poverty in Ghana - Prof Opoku-Agyemang Ghana gave me the opportunity to serve on a global stage and it's been fulfilling - Akufo-Addo Click to comment Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
