Reports in the local media suggest that the Managing Director for the Electricity Company of Ghana, Samuel Mahama Dubik, has resigned from the position.

The legal practitioner did not provide any official reason for his resignation but has written a letter to the Board of the Electricity Company of Ghana announcing his resignation.

Dubik, who is a graduate of the University of Ghana has been in the position for two years and has steered the affairs of the company.

Before becoming the Managing Director, he served as a non-executive director at ECG and has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors Mahama previously worked as a non-executive director at GIHOC Distilleries, Country representative for Gulfsouth Forest Products, and partner at Dubik & Associates, Wilkins Engineering, among others.
