Ghanaian Afro Dancehall star, Stonebwoy, has come under heavy criticism on social media for promoting his new song "Jejereje" amidst nationwide protests against illegal mining, also known as galamsey.
Citizens and activists took to the streets in Accra and other major cities, rallying under the hashtag #StopGalamseyNow, calling for immediate action to protect Ghana's environment from the destructive effects of galamsey.

Some of the detainees have reportedly faced inhumane conditions, with reports of lack of access to food and water, raising serious concerns about human rights abuses in the country.
