The President of the National Association of Graduate Teachers(NAGRAT), Angel Carbonu has taken on citizens of the country for disappointing Democracy Hub protesters who have been arrested for protesting against illegal mining in the country.
According to Angel Carbonu, if the masses had hit the streets to demonstrate against the galamsey activities, these excesses would have been curtailed.
He further lamented that the fight against galamsey is a difficult one because those neck-deep in the activities are top politicians and the ruling government. "You are fighting people who are functional political primaries, you are fighting people who oiled the wheels of political parties.
You are fighting people who own properties in this country through galamsey, You are fighting people who may even own TV and radio stations.
