The Minerals Commission of Ghana has appointed a six-member team to assist the regional Manager of the Commission to supervise operations at the FGR Bogoso and Prestea mines following the termination of the company's mining leases.

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the Minerals Commission announced the termionation of the mining license of Bogoso and Prestea mining companies following an alleged multiple breaches of contract as announced by the lands and Natural Resource Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor.
