Illegal mining, also known as galamsey, has become one of the most severe threats to Ghana's environment, particularly to its forest reserves and water bodies.
Media General, a responsible media organisation, committed to the protection of Ghana's forest reserves and water bodies, is concerned about the turn of events and the threat to Ghana's livelihood if nothing is done to stem the tide.
