Hassan Ayariga, the presidential candidate of the All People's Congress (APC), has unveiled his plans to introduce price control measures to reshape Ghana's consumption patterns if elected president on December 7, 2024.

In an exclusive interview on GTV's Breakfast Show today, September 24, 2024, Ayariga emphasized the need to grow and consume domestic products. "We have the best food in this country," he noted. "Our purple rice is renowned globally, yet we import basmati and other types of rice.

Similarly, our palm oil is exceptional, and coconut oil can be produced locally, eliminating the need for imports". "These ingredients are highly valued worldwide, but we're not marketing them effectively".

Ayariga also expressed concerns about environmental pollution and the impact of imported artificial food products.
