You Hold Generational Promise For Africa’s Future — Nana Addo Praises Kenya’s Ruto 

President Akufo-Addo has showered praises at his Kenyan counterpart President William S.

Ruto at an award ceremony held in New York.

Akufo-Addo who received an award from the Kenya President at the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Award said Ruto represents promise for Africa.  "I'm particularly honoured that my good friend President William Ruto of Kenya has presented me for this award.

He represents the new generation of African leadership that holds such promise for our continent.".  These compliments come Weeks after Anti-government protesters in Kenya demanded for President William Ruto to resign for bad leadership.  The protests began against an unpopular tax bill, which was withdrawn by President Ruto.  The protesters chanted "Ruto must go", lit fires on the road and threw stones as they clashed with the police with several deaths and injuries recorded.  Chaotic scenes were witnessed in parts of the country, including in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and Nyeri.
