The Food and Beverages Association of Ghana (FABAG) has issued a strong statement to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), urging against the introduction of new stamp machines for the Excise Tax collection.
FABAG asserts that its members are satisfied with the current machines installed for compliance with the Excise Tax Stamp Act 2013 (Act 873), and they reject any moves to replace them.
The association calls on the government, particularly the finance minister and the Minister of Trade and Industry, to halt any moves to implement new digital machines.
The association believes that maintaining the current system, which is already operational, will support businesses better during this challenging period.
