Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif has called for more time to be given to national team coaches to recover from poor performances, particularly in the case of Black Stars coach Otto Addo.
This appeal comes after Ghana's disappointing start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, where the team suffered a 1-0 loss to Angola and drew 1-1 with Niger, leaving them third in Group F with just one point.
Addo, who signed a three-year contract with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in March 2024, has come under pressure following the winless run.
However, Ussif emphasised the importance of allowing coaches to build stability within the team. "If I had my way, we would give our coaches more time.
