The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has threatened to embark on a strike action on Monday, September 30, 2024, due to government's inability to honour prior agreements concerning their allowances.

This follows an earlier strike action on June 14, 2024, which disrupted academic activities for close to two months.

A spokesperson for CETAG, Dominic Owusu, stated that the government's lack of commitment to resolving their issues has led to this decision.

According to a report by citinewsroom.com, he explained that the pending strike is expected to compel meaningful dialogue and achieve a conclusive, satisfactory resolution to their demands. "The timeline that we agreed upon which the strike was called off has still not been done.
