Private legal Practitioner, Richard Abban has lambasted the Lead Convener of the Democracy Hub Demonstration, Oliver Vormawor over his recent misconduct which led to his arrest by officials of the Ghana Police Service.

It would be recalled that last weekend, Oliver Vormawor led a group of Ghanaians to demonstrate against the government over the galamsey menace and how it is affecting the country, especially with the pollution of water bodies.

However, the demonstration did not turn out well as videos of some protesters fighting the police and destroying properties popped up online sparking a wide condemnation While reacting to the misconduct towards the police by Oliver Vormawor who is a lawyer and should know better, Lawyer Richard Abban slammed Oliver Vormawor and described his clash with the as well as the removal of the police car ignition keys as an offence.

According to him, Oliver pulled that conduct just for publicity and for clout.   He emphasized that Oliver knew his actions had repercussions because he knew the law as a Cambridge law student. "You can demonstrate but you don't have the right to demonstrate and destroy government properties.
