The Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge, the Ministry of Health, the Ghana Health Service Ridge Hospital has filed an appeal against a judgement that found the hospital liable in the negligent death of Mrs Akua Nyarko Mohammed and her baby, wife and unborn child of Mustapha Mohammed. According to the appeal of the appeal of the hospital, the judgement by the High Court Accra is against the weight of the evidence as they claim judge took into consideration matters which were not in contention and proceeded to make findings on them.
The hospital therefore wants the whole judgement to be set aside and no compensation awarded.
This comes after the General Jurisdiction 7 of the High Court in the case of Mohammed Mustapha v Attorney-General, Ministry of Health & 2 Ors.
