Ghana's Deputy Minister for Transport, Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli, has expressed confidence in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) victory ahead of the December 7, 2024, elections, following a series of community engagements across Gushegu and surrounding areas.

Sharing his experiences on Facebook, Tampuli highlighted the overwhelming support for both the Presidential and Parliamentary candidates while also expressing gratitude for the assistance of Iddrisu Musah Superior, Deputy CEO of the Forestry Commission. "We continued our grassroots community engagements over the past five days in Gbagu, Wantugu, Kpugi, Yawungu, and other nearby communities, receiving massive endorsement for both the Presidential and Parliamentary tickets," Tampuli wrote. "At this rate of defections from the other side to the #Nextlevel train, there will be no one in that house." Tampuli further commented on the growing momentum of the NPP, stating that the campaign had buried the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area, predicting a landslide victory.

In a personal reflection, the Deputy Minister took time to visit his family farm, stating, "As a son, grandson, and great-grandson of farmers, surely, I have to be a farmer too." His remarks emphasized his connection to his roots even as he continues the political fight for his party's success.

He is currently the Deputy Minister for Transport in Ghana, appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Before his appointment to this position, Tampuli served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), where he oversaw regulatory and policy initiatives in Ghana's petroleum industry.
