The (EC) has informed the (NDC) that the compilation of the final voters' register is still underway, hence the need for patience and calm as the Commission diligently produces a credible register.

The statement from the EC, signed by the Deputy Chairperson, Operations, was in response to the demonstration embarked on by the largest opposition party, NDC, to register their displeasure and call for a forensic audit following some discrepancies detected during the last voter exhibition exercise.

During the demonstration on September 17, 2024, the NDC made several demands, including the release of the results in the custody of the .

This, the NDC explained, will help the party reconcile it with the provisional one they have so all anomalies can be resolved amicably before December 7, when the general elections are to be held for a new President to be elected.

However, excerpts of the Commission's letter read, "The Commission will review the petition and provide its response in the coming days.

The Commission wishes to assure the general public that the process of producing the final register is in its early stages." The further urged Ghanaians and all electoral stakeholders to remain calm as the Commission is committed to ensuring a credible, free, transparent, and verifiable election through the release of a credible and robust voters' register ahead of the December 7 general elections.
