The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has indicated the NDC's resolution to sustain the protests until the Electoral Commission heeds their demand for a forensic audit of the 2024 voter roll.

About 12, 000 residents of the Volta Region drawn from all 18 constituencies have poured onto the streets of the Ho Municipality to join the NDC's 'Enough is Enough demonstration demanding from the EC a forensic audit of the 2024 voters register.

Addressing the media after the presentation of a petition to the Volta Regional Office of the Electoral Commission, Okudzeto Ablakwa said the party will sustain the pressure until their demands are granted. "You can expect that this is just the first step.

After this demonstration, we expect that they will heed the demands of the people; the justifiable, legitimate demand of the Ghanaian people for an audit.

We are not asking for much.

You can choose independent auditors to carry out this audit, we are not asking for much. "However,  if they refuse to heed our demand, expect even more demonstrations.

We will decentralise to the district level and we will continue to demonstrate until our demand for a credible free and fair elections, our demand for a credible register is met," he stated.
