A tragic incident has occurred in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, where an Assembly member from Aboabo has been shot dead by armed security men, with two others sustaining gunshot wounds.
Residents in an interview with OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng said the Assembly Member Samuel Danquah have been confirmed dead at a hospital after he was shot by a military man.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, following a clash between youth from Mpatuam and armed military men on a mining concession in the area.
According to the Assembly Member for Mpatuam, Kwame Sakyi, the clash erupted after agitated youth in the community accused Asanko Mines security of killing a miner a day before.
