Retired Supreme Court Justice, William Atuguba, has weighed in on the removal of former Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Sackey Torkornoo.
According to him, the processes outlined by Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution was used to remove the former Chief Justice.
He added that the processes followed constitutional requirements and hence removal from office was fair. "Oh yes, that was the procedure followed…culminating in her removal," he is quoted by 3news.com on September 9, 2025.
According to him, both President and the Council of State complied with the prescribed procedure.
