Professor Alidu Mahama Seidu has emerged victorious in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primary for the Tamale Central Constituency, positioning him as the party's candidate ahead of the by-election scheduled for September 30.
As the Executive Secretary of the Water Resources Commission and Senior Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Ghana, Prof Seidu secured a commanding win, claiming 840 of the 1,511 total votes, far ahead of his closest rival, Abdul Hannan Gundado, who received 536 votes, while the remaining 10 contenders each polled between 3 and 44 votes.
