The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that Bologna midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana sustained a knee injury during the Black Stars' final training session before their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad.
The 22-year-old picked up the knock at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Deby Itno in N'Djamena on Wednesday and was ruled out of the match the following day.
Ghana took an early lead through Jordan Ayew but conceded a late equaliser to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Medical checks are ongoing to determine the severity of Sulemana's injury, but the setback has left coach Otto Addo with fewer midfield options ahead of Monday's crucial match against Mali in Accra.
