Ghana coach Otto Addo has pointed to the dry pitch at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno as a significant factor in his team's inability to secure a win against Chad.
Following the shocking 1-1 draw, Addo explained that the state of the playing surface nullified his team's technical advantage. "We wanted to have ball possession but it's very difficult to play on this pitch when it's not watered," Addo stated. "We can't play fast.
It's a disadvantage for us the pitch is not wet.
The boys play in Europe, they have wet pitches, they can play fast.
