The immediate past Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer, has given strong indications that a future government under the will sack the entire justices at the Supreme Court.
Due to this intention, Mercer, a lawyer with over twenty years of experience, disclosed that the current bench of the Apex Court has become coterminous with the tenure of the current government.
Speaking on the Badwam Programme on Adom TV, the former member of parliament for Sekondi on the ticket of the NPP, alleged that this intended action has been necessitated by the current government's decision to remove Gertrude Torkornoo as the Chief Justice.
Explaining further, he alleged that the processes leading to the removal of the former Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo were "shambolic" and part of the NDC's long-held intention to sack the CJ.
