Former England youth international Aaron Wan-Bissaka has finally committed his international future to the Democratic Republic of Congo, earning his maiden call-up for the Leopards.

The 27-year-old defender, who now plays for West Ham United after leaving Manchester United, had long been at the centre of a tug-of-war between England and DR Congo.

Having represented England at U20 and U21 level and even receiving a senior call-up in 2019, Wan-Bissaka never made a competitive appearance for the Three Lions.

That left the door open for him to pledge allegiance to his parents' homeland.
