The leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has allegedly been picked up by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), family sources have disclosed.
Relatives told Citi News that the 2024 presidential candidate was taken from his Kumasi residence, but the reasons for his detention remain unclear.
His current whereabouts are also unknown.
EOCO has yet to release an official statement, leaving the circumstances of his arrest surrounded by uncertainty.
