The Third National Vice Chairman of the opposition (NPP), Alhaji Masawudu Osman, has stated that the National Vice Chairman of the ruling (NDC), Sofo Azorka, has no chance against him in a fair fight.
Speaking to Adom TV during the Akwatia parliamentary by-election on Tuesday, September 3, 2025, Masawudu, who was assaulted during a scuffle with Azorka and his associates, refuted being afraid of the NDC national officer. "It's all over social media; they are reporting about Alhaji Masawudu and Azorka, and we are northerners, both from Tamale.
Once all of this is done, it is someone and his wife and children who will enjoy the victory that comes from the election, while you and I are fighting.
It's not as if I'm afraid of Azorka or anything.
