Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has encouraged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to be discouraged by the party's loss in the just-ended Akwatia by-election.
In a post shared shortly after the Electoral Commission announced the certified results, Nkansah drew parallels to past electoral setbacks and recoveries by the party. "In 2000, we got only 39.3% in Wulensi but flipped it in a bye-election in 2003, leveraging our goodwill and incumbency advantage.
Our people should not be hard on themselves.
We shall get back," he said.
