Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, says his Ministry cannot operate with a budget until it receives approval from the Presidency. "The Ghana Football Association submits what I will describe as estimates, which the Ministry forwards to the Presidency after analysing its details," he told journalists at a press briefing in Accra on Tuesday. "Until the Presidency approves, we do not have a budget." Mr.
Adams was addressing the media on the Black Stars' expenditure for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
He noted that the update was in line with President John Mahama's directive to ensure transparency in the financing of national teams.
The Black Stars are set to face Chad in N'Djamena on September 4 before returning to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
