Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has disclosed that under the previous administration, all budget estimates submitted by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) were approved without any reductions.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra on Tuesday, the Minister contrasted the current government's approach with that of its predecessor, noting that his outfit now subjects GFA proposals to strict scrutiny before forwarding them to the Presidency for approval. "Previously, all budget estimates presented by the GFA were approved without any cutdowns," Mr.

Adams said.

The Minister explained that the new system of review is in line with President John Mahama's directive to ensure transparency and accountability in the financing of national teams.
