The Ministry for Sports and Recreation has approved an amount of $860,000 as the budget for the Black Stars in their match against Chad in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Ghana national team will play Chad and Mali in two crucial games in the September international break.

Ahead of the game against Chad, Sports Minister Kofi Adams has revealed that a budget of $1 million was presented by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for the away fixture.

Upon review, an amount of $860,000 has been approved. "The estimate submitted for Match Day 7 [against Chad] was over $1 million," he said. "After review, the Ministry approved about $860k.
