Voting began smoothly across all 119 polling stations in the Akwatia Constituency of the Eastern Region this morning, September 2, 2025.
Reports from Graphic Online's Haruna Yussif Wunpini indicate that as of 8:50 a.m., voters were steadily queuing at polling centres, with the process described as peaceful and orderly.
Security has been tightened across the constituency, with senior police officers overseeing operations and supported by junior ranks.
The Police Administration has also deployed Deputy Commissioners (DCOPs) and Assistant Commissioners (ACPs) to manage security in all electoral areas.
