Evans Nimako, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) National Director of Research and Elections, has called for peace, fairness, and transparency while expressing strong doubts over recent polling data suggesting the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in the lead.
Speaking to MyNewsGh.com, Mr.
Nimako described the elections as "a big challenge" that demands collective responsibility. "It needs to be resolved by all of us - the NPP, the NDC, the Electoral Commission, the media - everyone," he said. "We must give confidence to the people coming out to vote.
They should know they can cast their ballots and return home without any difficulty." He stressed that the opposition NPP's focus was on ensuring the process remains free, fair, and credible: "We only want to make sure that the rules of the game are applied," he added.
