President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghana's newly appointed envoys to play a leading role in advancing the government's reset agenda through strategic diplomacy.

Addressing the diplomats at their orientation programme in Accra on Monday, September 1, 2025, he said the reset agenda is designed to restore confidence, rebuild the economy, and create lasting prosperity.

The event was held under the theme 'Harnessing the Dividends of Diplomacy for Ghana's Reset Agenda'.

President Mahama explained that the policy direction was shaped by the economic challenges and erosion of public trust that preceded the 2024 general election. "The reset agenda is a comprehensive plan to restore hope, reintroduce trust and rekindle prosperity.
