The Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom, Emmanuel Tobbin, has condemned violent clashes that occurred between residents of Sowutuom and Omanjor during the climax of the Homowo celebration.
The incident which occurred on Saturday, August 30, 2025, has reportedly claimed the lives of three individuals and left several others injured.
The lawmaker, while condemning the violent clashes in a statement he shared on his Facebook page on September 1, 2025, emphasised the importance of protecting lives and stressed that no one should take the law into their own hands to take another person's life. "I am deeply saddened and devastated by the tragic incident that occurred on Saturday, 30th August, 2025, between Sowutuom and Omanjor residents, which unfortunately claimed three lives and left several others injured. "I strongly condemn this violence.
Every human life is precious and under no circumstance should anybody take the life of another person," the statement partly said.
