The Electoral Commission has expressed confidence that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will reconsider its stance and return to the discussion table regarding the voter register.

The commission had earlier declined the NDC's request for a forensic audit of the voters' register, prompting the party to announce plans for a nationwide demonstration.

In an interview with Channel One News, Deputy Commissioner Dr.

Bossman Asare stated that the commission is fully equipped to address and rectify any errors identified in the register. "We think that is something they should be able to listen to.

So far we haven't heard anything, but we think that the NDC is committed to ensuring that we have a credible register. "The EC is committed, the NPP is committed, PPP, all the parties are committed.

So we think this is a great call we think should be heeded to because it's for the good of our country. "It's a country we are building and we are only the referees to ensure that we have a system that is credible," he stated.
