The (NDC) has issued an ultimatum to the Ghana Police Service, demanding the immediate arrest and prosecution of about 20 individuals accused of attacking its National Chairman, , parliamentary candidate for Akwatia, Bernard Bediako, and other party executives during a one-week observation for the late Member of Parliament for Akwatia.
The incident occurred on Friday, August 29, during the one-week commemoration of the late Ernest Kumi at the Wenchi Durbar Grounds.
The NDC delegation, which included national, regional, and constituency executives as well as MPs, said it had been formally invited to the event.
However, their presence was reportedly met with hostility, as a group identified by the NDC as supporters of the opposition (NPP) allegedly attempted to physically assault Asiedu Nketiah and his security team.
