Business tycoon Ernesto Taricone has denied media reports linking him, along with institutions such as the Bank of Ghana and Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), to the establishment of a new investment platform called GCB Investments.
Through his lawyer, Martin Kpedu, in an interview with GhanaWeb, Taricone stressed that he has no involvement whatsoever with the alleged investment initiative.
The lawyer described the platform as a scam, warning the public that anyone who commits funds to it does so at their own risk. "Ernesto Taricone has not set up any platform called GCB Investments for oil trading or any of the activities mentioned in the article.
For the avoidance of doubt, Ernesto Taricone has no connection whatsoever with that platform. "So, any person who trades on that platform does so at their own risk, and Ernesto Taricone shall not be held liable for any losses they may incur," Kpedu stated.
