Mahamudu Bawumia, has officially thrown his hat into the ring to lead the New Patriotic Party into the 2028 elections, emphasizing his leadership qualities rooted in **character, values, and integrity.

Speaking to a crowd of party supporters after filing his nomination, Bawumia said: "As the NPP seeks a leader who reflects the character of our forebearers, I, Mahamudu Bawumia, offer myself to lead this party into the 2028 elections because I have the integrity, competence, compassion, humility, and values not only required to lead this party but also this country." He stressed that his approach to leadership is grounded in results rather than rhetoric, adding: "I have demonstrated my strength not through insults or empty promises but by delivering results.

This is what makes me the most prepared person to lead the NPP and Ghana." Bawumia also highlighted the importance of values in guiding the party's future. "This election is about the soul of our party.
