JoyNews will today, Thursday, August 28, 2025, host a crucial national dialogue under the theme "Breaking the Chains: Ghana's Opioid Crisis" as the country grapples with rising concerns over opioid misuse.
The event will bring together key stakeholders, including the Youth and Development Minister, George Opare Addo, Dr.
Birgit Nuro-Panin of the Ghana Police Service, addiction specialist Dr.
Dordoye, as well as representatives from the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) and the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
