The Kadjebi District Directorate of the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit has supported households to construct 109 Improved Household Latrines between January and June 2025.
Victus Elorm Kpotosu, the District Environmental Health Officer (DEHO), who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the achievement forms part of the 197 latrines targeted for the period under review.
He noted that the directorate also undertook medical screening for 630 food and drink vendors to ensure the safety of consumers and prevent the spread of foodborne diseases.
Speaking with the GNA in Kadjebi, Oti Region, Kpotosu said officers further inspected 5,490 houses, during which residents were educated and sensitised on healthy lifestyles, good sanitation practices, and environmental cleanliness.
