The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has put up temporary structures to shelter victims displaced by the Gbiniyiri conflict in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.

According to a 3news.com report on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, beds and mattresses have also been distributed to the victims, many of whom are women and children who sought refuge at the Sawla police station.

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, through the Ghana School Feeding Programme, has also provided food packs and water to the affected families.

Delivering the items on behalf of the gender minister, Savannah Regional Coordinator of the programme, Hajia Afusei Bawa, expressed shock at the scale of displacement. "The gender minister, through the Social Welfare Protection, has decided to organise hundreds of food packs and some water to deliver to the victims of this unfortunate situation.
