The Ahene Nanahene of Asantehene , Nana Kwame Mensah Bonsu, has responded to Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, over his recent comment that the Golden Stool looks "welded." According to Nana Kwame Mensah Bonsu, the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area appears confused in his utterances and "does not know what he is saying." Speaking in an interview on Adum TV on August 24, 2025, he alleged that the Dormaahene is being haunted by the ghost of his late mother, whom he claimed died mysteriously.
He added that because Dormaahene ignored investigating the cause of death, his mother's spirit is troubling him, leading him to make unnecessary comments.
He further stated that the Dormaahene's hatred against the Asantehene "will not work" and cautioned him to be careful with his remarks.
Touching on history, Nana Kwame Mensah Bonsu explained that Dormaahene's own uncle once served at the Manhyia Palace and revered the same Golden Stool.
