Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum, has explained the decision to leave out Real Oviedo midfielder Kwasi Sibo from the Black Stars squad for the World Cup qualifiers.  The 27-year-old has been in fine form for the La Liga returnees, featuring in the opening two games of the campaign against Villarreal and Real Madrid, but could not make the team for the matches against Chad and Mali next month.

Coach Otto Addo announced a 24-man squad for the games on Tuesday with Joseph Paintsil and Ibrahim Osman making a return to the team.

According to Asante Twum, the technical team have been monitoring Sibo but decided to maintain the core of the team at the moment. "Kwasi Sibo will get his chance soon.

The technical team has been monitoring him and is impressed with his work rate.
