Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been named in Coach Otto Addo's Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Chad and Mali next month.
The experienced shot-stopper is the only home-based player drafted in the 24-man squad named by the coach on Tuesday, August 26.
Asare, who is retaining his place in the squad after featuring for Ghana at the 2025 Unity Cup, is likely to start in the upcoming games, despite the inclusion of top goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi.
The squad features regulars Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Antoine Semenyo, and Inaki Williams.
