The Acting Chief Executive Officer of COCOBOD, Dr Randy Abbey, has initiated legal action against the Bono Regional Chairman of the (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, over alleged defamatory statements.
According to a report by citinewsroom.com, the lawsuit was filed on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
Dr Abbey is demanding GH¢20 million in damages for what he describes as malicious and false claims made by Abronye during a public broadcast.
Court documents reveal that Abronye accused Dr Abbey of misusing public resources and engaging in corrupt practices at COCOBOD.
