The three-member committee tasked with investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a patient, Bavug Sali, at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), has presented its report to the Minister of Health, .
During the presentation, the committee chairman, Dr Abdul Ibrahim Mohammed, briefed the minister, stating that the committee conducted extensive engagements with various parties, including the patient's family and friends, as well as the hospital staff. "We held a total of about 12 sittings, meeting with the patient's family, friends, and staff of the hospital, particularly those at the Accident and Emergency Department, along with other relevant staff," a citinewsroom.com report on August 26, quoted the chairman as saying. "Between May and June, we met with all of them.
We also assessed the hospital's protocols and Standard Operating Procedures," he added.
The committee submitted its report to the health minister on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
