Asante Kotoko have reportedly parted ways with winger Johnson Oppong, barely two months after his arrival, in a move that underscores the club's ruthless approach to reshaping their squad ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Oppong joined the Porcupine Warriors earlier this summer amid high expectations, given his wealth of experience both domestically and abroad.

However, he has failed to make the desired impact, prompting the club to end his stay prematurely.

The 27-year-old attacker made his debut in the Toyota Cup against South African giants Kaizer Chiefs but has since struggled for regular minutes.
