The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has conducted an inspection of the ongoing shutdown maintenance work at the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant in Ellembelle District in the Western region, expressing satisfaction with the progress.
The plant, a critical component of Ghana's energy infrastructure, is undergoing scheduled maintenance to ensure its continued efficiency, reliability, and enhanced capacity.
During the visit, Jinapor highlighted the significance of the plant's upcoming capacity increase, from 100 million standard cubic feet (mmscf) to 120 mmscf per day.
This expansion is a crucial step in realizing the government's Gas-to-Power vision, which aims to leverage natural gas resources to provide stable and affordable electricity.
